Submitting Your Application
Submit your completed application to the Human Resources Department office in person, by mail or online. Our office is open Monday through Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Applications submitted in person must be in our office before 7:00 p.m. on the final filing date. If you mail in your application, it must be postmarked prior to midnight of the final filing date. Except where noted, online application materials are due before midnight on the final filing date. Late applications cannot be accepted.
San Mateo County has an ongoing commitment to hire qualified disabled persons; reasonable accommodation will be provided when necessary during the examination process. Please inform the Human Resources Department when you apply if you need an accommodation.
Your application will be reviewed by the Human Resources Department to make sure that you have the qualifications for the job. If it cannot be determined whether you meet the qualifications, you may be asked to provide more information. If you meet the minimum qualifications, you will be notified regarding the next step in the examination process.
