The San Mateo County Library offers a variety of internships to students in Master’s of Library and Information Science programs (MLS, MLIS, etc.) in order to give students the opportunity to gain professional experience, while allowing the Library to expand programs and services.  Some internship opportunities may be open to undergraduates as well. Internship areas of focus include, but are not limited to, website development, youth services, outreach, literacy, and programming.  Internships are available at the Library’s administrative offices and at many of its 12 branches.

  • Requirements: Undergraduate and Graduate students
  • Duration: Year Round
  • Hours: 10-15 hours per week
