Classic Bowl is located at 900 King Drive in Daly City.  It is conveniently located just off Highway 280 or Highway 35.  Please be aware that parking is extremely difficult to find.  There is a small parking lot adjacent to the facility that is shared by many local small businesses.  You may have to park on the street.  Visit its website for driving directions from the north, south and East Bay.

Cost:
 $90 per team**

** Fee covers bowling lane fees, shoes, trophies, and supplies. NO COUNTY MONIES ARE USED TO PAY FOR THIS EVENT.

 
What to Wear

A Special Award will be given to the “best dressed” team that has a coordinated 80s theme/attire and a Special Award will be given to the “best dressed” individual with his/her unique 80s ensemble.

Note: Be advised that this is a County-sponsored event and we abide by all County policies. Take extra consideration of this when choosing what you will-or will not-wear.

NOTICE:

Your employer or its insurance carrier may not be liable for the payment of Workers' Compensation benefits for any injury which arises out of an employee's voluntary participation in any off-duty recreational, social or athletic activity which is not a part of the employee's work-related duties.

 

Team Captains:  PONY your completed registration form to WELLNESS / HRD121BL with a $90 check made payable to “San Mateo County” before January 18th to ensure your team’s entry.

Attention Bowlers!

WE PLAN TO START THE EVENT AT 2pm, PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE! TOURNAMENT WARM-UP begins at 1:45pm, TOURNAMENT BEGINS at promptly at 2:00pm

 
  • Team Captains: please arrive no later than 1:00pm
  • Team Players:  please arrive no later than 1:30pm
  • Allow plenty of time to find parking and be prepared for the likelihood of having to walk several blocks to the facility. 
  • There is no check-in.
  • Pick up your bowling shoes at the desk.
  • Bring your family, friends and co-workers to root for your team!
  • No outside food or beverage is permitted in the facility. The snack bar will be open. The bar will be open.
  • A Special Award will be given to the “best dressed” team that has a coordinated 80s theme and attire.
  • A Special Award will be given to the “best dressed” individual with his/her unique 80s ensemble.
  • Team and Individual trophies will be awarded to the top bowlers.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Tournament results will be announced to team captains the following week and included in the monthly Wellness Digest.

THEMED ATTIRE

We encourage bowlers to embrace the “80s” theme and dress up.  There will be a contest for the best dressed team and the best dressed individual. The “Best Dressed” team awards and individual award will be announced at approximately 5:15pm.

TEAM PHOTOS

Beginning at the second game, team photos will be taken lane to lane.  Be sure you’re wearing your 80s garb!

INFORMATION FOR TEAM CAPTAINS:

There is a mandatory team captain’s meeting at 1:30pm at the food service area.  Meeting starts promptly.
