The Employee Benefits Guide is your single source document for the information you need to make informed decisions about your benefits for yourself and your family. The Employee Benefits Guide is intended to be a summary of some of the benefits offered to you and your family including: health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. The Benefits Office has also created a series of Benefits Fact Sheets which answer many of the commonly-asked questions about these benefits. Additional information and forms about these employee benefits and others are available online on the Human Resources Department website.
The benefits described herein are offered to eligible employees of the County of San Mateo. All benefits are subject to change and there is no guarantee that these benefits will be continued indefinitely. The descriptions are very general and are not intended to provide complete details about any or all plans. Exact specifications for all plans are provided in the official Plan Documents, copies of which are available in your online benefits account.
