New Buddy Program

Knowing that employees are the key to our success, several departments will be participating in the County’s new pilot Buddy Program.  The program is designed to help our new employees feel welcome and connected during their early days and months on the job.  Beginning in January, all new employees in Public Works, Human Resources and targeted areas of the Health Department and Human Services Agency will be assigned a buddy for three months.  The buddy will help them acclimate to the culture of the county, department and their new work environment.  Programs of this nature have proven to be a great benefit to new employees and help them assimilate quicker and potentially increase retention.
