Lisa Okada has been promoted to the Deputy Director position overseeing Benefits/Wellness and
Administration/HRIM. Lisa has been promoted several times in her career with the County spanning almost 18 years. Previously as the Benefits Manager Lisa helped bring several new benefits to employees and their families, improvements to several programs and services, and continued collaboration in the Benefits Committee. Lisa was also instrumental in the implementation of Workday as the County’s personnel and payroll system.
Tracy Ford has been promoted to the Risk Management Program Manager. Tracy started at the County two years ago. In her new role Tracy will oversee workers’ compensation, leave of absence, ADA Title I, and occupational health. Tracy has a self-insured administrators certification from the State of California’s Department of Industrial Relations.
Ximena Burns has returned to County employment after a short stint in another jurisdiction. Ximena joined the
County in 2016 as a Personnel/Payroll Specialist with the Human Services Agency and in 2017 she promoted to the position of Human Resource Technician with the HR Department. Ximena remained with us through 2018 when she decided to explore other opportunities, but we are so happy she recently returned ‘home’ to San Mateo County. Ximena will be working-out-of-class as a Personnel Analyst (Recruiter) for the next several months.
