On September 2th, HR hosted a gathering to recognize and thank the 50 individuals that mentored a Career Development Assessment Center (CDAC) participant during the past three cohorts. A total of 67 employees took part in CDAC and 34% have since been promoted. Many credit the mentorship they received as valuable in their career development. One of the individuals that was recently promoted shared that “Having participated in the program and receiving mentorship has allowed me to be more thoughtful in my role as a coach, mentor and leader for the staff I supervise which in turns provides development to our team and a higher quality of service to the children and families we serve”. Another participant noted that “CDAC helped me develop greater self-awareness, put my skills to practice, see my opportunities for improvement and be paired with a supportive mentor who challenged me”.
