The Human Resources Department has launched a classification and organizational study of the County’s payroll and personnel function and staff. The study includes a review of 49 positions in 26 departments. Consistent with HR’s commitment to career growth and to improving individual and organizational capacity, the study is being conducted to ensure effective delivery of services, optimization of the County’s resources, and appropriate classification of positions given changes in technology and operations. Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, has been retained to assist with the study. They were onsite on the first week of March to conduct 64 in-person interviews with both staff, stakeholders and subject matter experts.  The study is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
