STEP Interns doing an activity, an icebreaker method to get know each other better.

The Supported Training and Employment Program (STEP) welcomed 15 enthusiastic interns in June. The Human Resources Department and the Human Services Agency’s Independent Living program facilitated a four-day orientation where the youth gained knowledge of essential workplace skills through a variety of interactive exercises. A big “thank you” to the County departments offering placements – Health (Public Health, Correctional Health, Emergency Medical Services, San Mateo Medical Center), Sheriff’s Office, Office of Sustainability, ISD, Probation and Public Works!
