Over 50 staff applied for the Career Development Assessment Center (CDAC) for aspiring supervisors. Given this high demand, and strongly qualified applicant pool, the County Manager’s Office and the Human Resources Department expanded the program to include two assessment centers. The first CDAC was offered in December with 18 staff from 10 different departments participating in a series of development activities which tested their knowledge, skills, and abilities in several leadership/supervisory competencies. All participants received immediate feedback from a panel of assessors, and will be matched with a coach/mentor in the New Year. On March 1st, we will host the second CDAC, for 18 more staff from eight departments.
